2001 Summit

On May 31, 2001 Piedmont Health Coalition presented its first annual NC Employers' Summit on Health Care. The conference was held at the Moseley Center at Elon University and was attended by approximately 125 people. The Summit provided information on health care trends in the year 2001: "Employer Perspectives on Medical Costs" (Steve Graybill - William M. Mercer, Inc.), "Defined Contribution Strategies" (Kenneth S. Berkowitz - PricewaterhouseCoopers), "The Value of Pharmaceuticals" (Richard Levy - Pharmacia), and "Group Medical Plans - Legislative and Regulatory Developments" (Mike Brittingham - Ogletree Law Firm).
