Piedmont Health Coalition has several affiliations with area and national health care organizations that provide a variety of services to Coalition members.

WELLPATH SELECT, Inc - a Coventry Health Care Plan, is one of the leading health care providers in the Carolinas. Piedmont Health Coalition utilizes the following WELLPATH product offerings:

WellPath Direct Access POS

WellPath Direct Access POS plan is two health plans in one; an "in-network" option and a more traditional "out-of-network" option. WellPath Direct Access POS members can choose either the in-network option or the out-of-network option each time a covered medical service is needed. Some coverages are only available in-network.

Coventry Health & Life Insurance Company PPO

In addition to our full line of HMO and POS products, we also offer a PPO product. This product provides coverage for employers who have employees residing outside of our service area. This product is a Coventry Health & Life Insurance Company product which is administered by WellPath. We are also able to provide nationwide coverage through PHCS a high quality provider network.

Health Care Savings - Piedmont Health Coalition periodically utilizes this PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) for broader network access in outlying markets.

National Business Coalition on Health - provides expertise, resources and a voice to nearly 85 coalitions across the country. Piedmont Health Coalition is proud to be the first Coalition in North Carolina to become a member of this national organization in 1995.
