Piedmont Health Coalition has several affiliations with area and national health care organizations that provide a variety of services to Coalition members.

Penn Western Benefits, Inc. is a third party administrator of self-funded group health plans. It provides all services related to the administration of health plans, including claims processing, record keeping, maintenance of health plan documentation, preparation and distribution of benefit checks, as well as other administrative services.

MEDCOST is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) committed to assuring quality medical care and providing sound medical cost management strategies with compassion for the patient's needs and respect for the physician's role in health care.

Express Scripts, Inc. is one of the nation's largest pharmacy benefit management companies. Founded in 1986 and never owned by a drug manufacturer, Express Scripts aligns its interests with those of plan sponsors and their members. Express Scripts makes the use of prescription drugs safer and more affordable for tens of millions of consumers through thousands of employers, government, and health plans.

National Business Coalition on Health provides expertise, resources and a voice to nearly 62 coalitions across the country. Piedmont Health Coalition is proud to be the first Coalition in North Carolina to become a member of this national organization in 1995.
